The Comedy Academy | Flyer design
The last option was the one I submitted but unfortunately did not success. The Comedy Academy members had different views therefore an alternative was used instead.
The Comedy Academy | Design brief
Design a logo and flyer for an upcoming comedy writing workshop.
The project will be delivered by The Comedy Academy in partnership with The Greenwich Comedy Festival. The idea behind the project is to provide a platform for new writing and offer young people in London the opportunity to write and perform stand up alongside big names performing at the festival in 2013.
The Comedy Academy is a new initiative and needs appropriate branding and logo plus a simple flyer to attract young people to participate.
'THE EXPANDED DESIGNER' online platform | Material 3 - Twitter logo

Invisible Structure | 4 - Final design
Chosen brief: TIME
I’m looking at the biological clock in plants, using the language of physics to explain and explore the idea in the simplest way as I can. The final repeated pattern is a set of 2 patterns, 1 representing what happens in day time and the other representing what happens in night time. The stomata in the leaf absorb the light energy from sun light and use that for necessary progresses. The stomata opening is one of the behaviour about biological clock. However, they are closed during night and therefore no light absorbtion and the plant has different progresses to those in day time.
The light energy is explained as they sometimes behave like wave, other times like particles.
(don’t know how to shorten the description for my work yet)
Invisible Structure | 4 - Repeated pattern (day-time)
Invisible Structure | 3 - Designing the wallpaper background
To give audience a better understand about the context of my work without explaining.
Invisible Structure | 2 - Final base (for day time)
The 1st image is previously my final base. I wasn’t completely happy with that. Therefore on my way home today (luckily it’s such a nice lovely sunny day today!), I spotted this scene and thought the colour combination is going to be perfect for my day-time repeated pattern’s base. So I hope my design turning out good :)
[just realised i didn’t translate the exact blue from the photo to the design, i found the lighter shade seems to work better but will make a try with the exact one now]
